  • Description: Iason arrives in Greece and goes to the house of his friend Michalis Drakakis. Here live his wife Mairi with her sister Magda and a sailor, Kosmas, who is a smuggler of whiskey and who supports the women. Of course, Iason’s arrival displeases Kosmas, who considers the two women his own. Magda suspects that there is probably something hiding in Iason’s trunk – maybe a body. A few days later, Kosmas brings Michalis’s body out of the sea, and Iason is forced to confess that, together with the deceased and two other people, the Jew Masias and the German Hans, he had robbed a bank in Johannesburg. Then they came to Greece, but Masias and Hans, in a botched attempt to abscond with the loot, killed Michalis. Since then, his former partners Masias and Hans have been hunting for Iason (after he took the money himself), and they kidnap Magda in order to blackmail him. At the trade-off, Kosmas, who has already killed Mairi, also shows up as a claimant. During the ensuing bloodshed, they all manage to kill each other, and only Magda remains alive. She takes the briefcase with the money; further down the road, however, the police lie in ambush and arrest her.
